Why Join SOAR?

It feels GOOD: You will influence society and help other people in domestic violence situations.
It provides personal improvement opportunities: You will receive educational trainings, attend conferences and gain experience in public speaking and lobbying projects. Also, as a SOAR member you can apply for scholarships to financially aid you in your academic quests.
It helps you stay connected: You will build relationships with a group of strong women, just
like you, that have experienced and overcome abuse.
Your ideas will matter: At our monthly meetings you can voice your suggestions & creative insights regarding SOAR’s future activities. Interested in writing your own articles on a particular topic of interest? Write a column in our newsletter!
It makes a difference: With your voice we will be able to help pass bills that help victims of domestic violence and hold batterers accountable.
You will be able to use your experience to educate other people and to help end domestic violence in our communities!
